The Beginning

First things first, I must confess that I am not writer, nor a very dedicated blogger, so with that said, I will try my best to keep this blog updated. Over the years, as I have grown up, moved away from home, and just recently got married, I have found it harder and harder to keep in touch. Therefore, after reading blog after blog it finally hit me, this would be the perfect way to tell those near and far about what is going on in the life of the Jeschke's. So here goes, please bare with me :)

Brett and I met my first year at JMU, I had transferred in as a junior, and he was a senior. He says we met at the first CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ) meeting of the year, but I remember things a little differently. I say we met at a bonfire in October…so the story began in October of 2006. After that I don't remember really talking to him again until Spring break 2007, where we both attended Big Break (A spring break conference held in Panama City Florida where students from the Mid-Atlantic gather and share with those on the beach about Jesus.) Then came the CRU spring semi-formal where Brett called me up and asked me to be his date, I said yes. A few weeks later we began to date. Easter of 2009 Brett popped the big question, I said yes and we were engaged for a short 4 months and married on August 9, 2009.
A year and a half later here we are, we just survived (barely) the Blizzard of 2010, in just one week we have received 40+ inches of snow. Did I mention I really don’t like snow, cause I don't, and to have 40+ inches…..lets just say I am on the verge of going crazy!

Brett all bundled up, getting ready to go see the snow!

Me almost all bundled up, don't laugh it was cold and I was warm!

Brett next to our car, look how deep it is!

I helped to! I was so sore the next day.

During the blizzard, Brett also celebrated his 25th birthday! Last year I made him a cake and gave it to him at mid-night and this year we continued the tradition. Only difference, last year his cake was huge, triple layer chocolate with chocolate icing...lets justs say we had to throw half of it away, because of my dislike for chocolate and he couldn't eat it all before it went bad. So this year Brett requested a resonable size cake...aka I got creative and used my mini bread pans and made him a triple layered mini cake.

Pretty delicious looking if I do say so myself

The next day-his actual birthday, I took him out to dinner at the Sweet Water Tavern. We enjoyed steaks and loaded baked potatoes, and Brett got a free dessert :)

Alrighty, well that very lengthy book has or I hope has caught you up on our lives thus far. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways, and he continues to amaze us. Thanks for reading and I hope I can keep this up!
